Jeg startede selvfølgeligt med at høre de mennesker i min omgangskreds der havde gennemgået dette om hvordan det foregik, og de svarede alle samstemmende at de havde fået deres protese samme dag som tandudtrækningen eller en af de nærmeste efterfølgende dage. Jeg huskede at mine forældre som begge fik proteser da jeg var barn, skulle bruge et lim stof for at fastholde deres proteser, og det var jeg ikke interresseret i hvis det kunne undgåes, men alle jeg talte med sagde at derés proteser sad fint, helt uden lim. Selv min søsters som havde haft den i snart 20 år. Jeg tog til klinikken fuld af optimisme for at få ordnet sagen. Jeg fik taget et enkelt røngtenbillede af hele munden og fik så forklaret at jeg ville få udtrukket tænderne og skulle så komme igen to dage senere for at få lavet et aftryk af gummen. Der ville så gå yderligere tre uger før protesen var klar. Det rystede mig noget at skulle gå uden tænder så længe og fortalte at alle jeg kendte der havde fået proteser, havde fået deres tænder inden for et par dage. Jeg fik forklaret at sådan gjorde man ikke mere - nu skulle det gøres på denne måde, men hvis det var et problem at gå uden tænder, kunne jeg få et midlertidigt gebis for et merbeløb. Jeg besluttede at jeg ikke ville smide penge væk på noget jeg kun skulle bruge i tre uger, og valgte at tage ferie i perioden. Tandlægen foreslog desuden at jeg fik et stål indlæg i protesen for yderligere at styrke denne, hvilket lød fornuftigt nok. Jeg kom så til klinikken igen efter der var gået tre uger, og opdagede til min rædsel at det ikke var for at få mine nye tænder. Protesen var godt nok klar, men det var kun selve gane og gumme stykket. Hvor tænderne skulle sidde var en bred plast kant. Jeg fik så isat den halvfærdige protese og tandlægen "modelerede" stykket hvor tænderne skulle sidde for at min læbe fik den rigtige form (går jeg ud fra). Jeg fik så at vide at der ville gå yderligere knapt to uger før den var helt klar. Jeg måtte så tage på arbejde uden tænder og vente på protesen. Jeg kom så den aftalte dag og fik protesen i munden. Den sad overhovedet ikke fast - ingen pasform overhovedet. Jeg fik at vide at det var normalt. DEr blev lagt et blødt indlæg i protesen, og jeg fik at vide at det skulle jeg gå med i en måned, hvorefter jeg skulle derind igen og det bløde indlæg ville blive udskiftet med et hårdt. Jeg var lykkelig - endeligt tænder i munden igen. Da jeg skulle spise aftensmad røg protesen af med den første mundfuld. Jeg kunne ikke holde den fast. Næste dag måtte jeg i matas og købe lim, så jeg kunne tygge med den. Efter en uge havde protesen gnavet hul i min kind fordi den bløde fyldning lå ud over kanten. Jeg måtte ind og have det rettet, og forklarede ved samme lejlighed at jeg måtte lime protesen for at kunne spise. Jeg fik at vide at det var normalt i starten. Jeg nåede så frem til dagen hvor jeg skulle have udskiftet det bløde indlæg med det endelige faste. Tandlægen sagde at hullerne efter tandudtrækningen ikke havde lukket sig helt, så selvom jeg nu fik et fast indlæg så skulle jeg derind igen efter ca. 5 uger og have det rettet igen. Protesen sad nu bedre, men jeg skulle stadigt lime den for at kunne tygge. Allerede dagen efter da jeg tog protesen ud for at rengøre den, blev en del af det nye hårde indlæg siddende i limen på min gumme. Det knækkede simpelt hen af fordi det ikke var fæstnet ordentligt til protesen. Samtidigt er protesen blevet så høj fortil at den gnaver hul i munden lige under næsen. Der er stadigt 2 uger til jeg skal ind og have justeret næste gang og jeg gruer for om det nogensinde bliver lavet ordentligt. Er dette virkeligt den måde man får lavet proteser på idag eller bliver jeg trukket rundt i manegen ? But it disappeared quickly when I met Necip. He is a very pleasant man who is very careful with his job. I can hardly write more praise than has already been written. A clinic with the latest equipment. He is very informative about what he does and says what he always does. He may very well recommended. And its also nice that it is a cheap money. Will definitely use him in future. And Marmaris is a super place. A beautiful area with mountains, the beautiful water and the lovely food. So it has been two very good experiences. The holiday next year will likely go to Marmaris again. Next time, 2 weeks. One week is just in the bottom edge.
